Returns Under Warranty 

  • All warranty queries should be discussed with SW Auto Accessories prior to parts being removed from the vehicle.  At this point the manufacturer will troubleshoot with the installer/ SW Auto Accessories, and may request further information such as but not limited to images, batch no.’s, access to maintenance reports etc. Failure to comply with such requests may result in warranty refusal.

  • Following the above process, manufacturer will arrange for the collection of any goods which require return due to confirmed warranty unless agreed otherwise.

  • Should it be agreed that the customer will return the item to us, and warranty is confirmed prior to goods arriving back with manufacturer, a refund for the reasonable postage costs incurred by the customer for return of the goods will be credited provided the customer provides evidence of such costs.  Please Note - This refund is capped at a maximum value of £15.00.

  • In the event that a replacement towbar or accessory is required immediately, a replacement will be sent and invoiced and a credit raised following the appropriate checking in process of the towbar or accessory under warranty claim.

  • The same returns process as laid out above (see Return Of Unwanted / Incorrectly Ordered Goods) for warranty claims must be adhered to. 

  • All warranties are void if regular maintenance checks are not upheld. This should be done every 1000 towing miles and documented officially.

  • Your statutory rights are not affected by the above returns process. 

  • Any faults caused intentionally or by accidents are at cost of the customer and voids any warranty.


Problems and faults can happen either when installing the product or after a period of time. ECS Electronics are happy to offer their customers a 2 year 'return to base' warranty on the electric kits, excluding the external 7pin or 13pin socket.
All warranty claims must follow the procedure as documented here.
When a fault or problem is identified the technician must contact SW Auto Accessories.
If the problem or fault is identified as the responsibility of ECS we will do our best to either send a replacement part or kit. If any action is required this will be discussed and decided between SW Auto Accessories and the supplier upon during the fitter support telephone call. If the agreed action is to send replacement parts we will invoice you for the replacement parts and the shipping. If the claim is upheld we will credit your account when we receive the faulty/damaged parts at our UK warranty department.
NB: The normal processing time for a warranty claim is one month.
If the kit is returned and any breaks or damage to the cable harness are identified that might be caused by poor installation or independent connections (i.e. Scotchlocks or soldering) we cannot support a warranty claim.
